What A Meter Cannot Tell You
Two readings twenty minutes apart can differ by a wide margin. That is the device, not you.

Anybody who has used a home glucose meter has had the experience: two readings taken minutes apart that differ by a margin large enough to be worrying. Understanding why is the difference between useful information and unnecessary anxiety.
Meters Have A Permitted Error
Consumer glucose meters are built to an accuracy standard that permits a meaningful margin of error against a laboratory reference. A reading is an estimate with a tolerance, not a measurement in the way a ruler is.
That is not a defect. It is the trade-off that makes a device cheap enough and fast enough to use at home, and it is entirely adequate for the job the device was designed for.
Everything Else That Moves A Reading

Why This Matters On A Supplement Site
Because it is the mechanism behind a very common mistake. Somebody starts a supplement, takes a reading a week later, sees a lower number and concludes the product worked.
That single comparison cannot support the conclusion. Given everything in the table above, a difference between two readings taken a week apart is entirely expected without any intervention at all.
It is also why this site publishes no before-and-after readings, no meter photographs presented as results, and no numbers attributed to the product. A pair of readings is the easiest thing in this category to present misleadingly, and one product photograph used here shows a meter simply because that is the manufacturer's image, not because it depicts an outcome.
What Would Actually Be Informative
A trend, not a point. Many readings over weeks, taken under consistent conditions, reveal a direction. Two readings reveal noise.
A laboratory test. HbA1c reflects average glucose over roughly three months and is immune to almost everything in that table. It is the number worth asking a doctor for.
Consistent conditions. If you are going to use a meter, use it at the same time relative to the same meal, with clean hands and in-date strips.
And The Obvious Point
If you are monitoring glucose at home, somebody is presumably managing that with you. Tell them what you are taking. A label with twenty-three ingredients, two of them caffeine-containing, is exactly the sort of thing they would want on the record.
Three Short Answers
Why do two readings differ so much?
Permitted device error plus timing, food, sleep, stress, hydration and strip condition. A single pair of readings is noise rather than signal.
What is HbA1c?
A laboratory measure reflecting average glucose over roughly three months. It is far less affected by day-to-day variation and is the number worth asking a doctor about.
Should I buy a meter to test this product?
It will not answer the question. A supplement effect of this size, if present at all, sits well inside the noise of home testing.
