Getting started
The First Four Weeks
A structured month that will actually tell you something, including the version where nothing happens.

Most people take a supplement for a month, look at themselves, decide they cannot tell, and either stop or continue without having learned anything. A month of effort producing no information is a waste, and about ten minutes of setup prevents it.
Day One: Three Sentences And One Test
Write down how often the craving hits. Not "sometimes". A number: three afternoons a week, or every day around four, or only after dinner. Specific beats general, because in four weeks you will not accurately remember what you meant.
Write down what your mornings currently look like. What you eat, when, and what you drink with it. This is the thing most likely to change without you noticing.
Write one sentence about why you bought it. That sentence is what you will compare against, and it is remarkable how often it turns out to be different from what people later claim to have wanted.
Then run the sugar test. Take the dose, wait twenty minutes, put a small amount of sugar on your tongue. If sweetness is dulled, the gymnema is doing what it is there for, and you have confirmed something real on day one.
Week By Week
| When | What to watch for |
|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | The habit sticking, the taste, and possibly a little extra alertness from the caffeine. |
| Week 1 | The sweet-taste effect after each dose. This is the part you can verify rather than hope for. |
| Weeks 2–3 | Whether the afternoon craving is quieter. This is the signal that actually matters. |
| Week 4 | Enough to form a view. Read back the three sentences from day one. |
| Weeks 5–8 | Whether the change held, and whether anything else in your eating shifted alongside it. |
Change One Thing
This is the rule people break in week one and regret in week six. Start a supplement, a new breakfast, an evening walk and a sleep schedule in the same fortnight and you will never know which of them did anything — and you will keep paying for all four.
If you want to change several things, change them in sequence. Two weeks apart is enough to attribute an effect, and it costs nothing except patience.
What Should Not Happen
- Any dramatic change on a scale inside the first fortnight
- A meaningful shift in any measured reading attributable to the product
- An unsettled stomach lasting beyond the first few days
- Anything that makes you feel worse for more than a week
The last two are reasons to stop rather than to push on. A supplement bedding in does not take a fortnight of feeling unwell.
The Version Where Nothing Happens
It is a real outcome and it deserves stating rather than burying. The most likely explanation is undramatic: your chromium intake was already adequate, and the blend share of everything else is small.
If four weeks of consistent use produce nothing beyond the taste effect, that is an answer. The sixty day window exists so that arriving at it costs you nothing, and it runs long enough to make the decision after a fair month rather than during one.
Three Short Answers
Is one bottle enough to judge it?
One bottle is thirty days, which is roughly the minimum. Most people start with three so the assessment happens on product they already have.
What if I forget for a week?
Restart. There is no loading phase to repeat. What matters is the average across the month, not any single morning.
Should I weigh myself daily?
No. Daily weight is mostly water and it will tell you nothing useful about a supplement. Weekly at the same time of day is plenty.
